This steering wheel lock is easy to use. I bought it mainly as a deterrent for when I park my Lexus LS500 where I feel there's a greater than average risk of theft. It could be defeated by cutting the seat belt it's connected to. But the integrated cover that conceals the seat belt connector it plugs into would make that a fairly difficult task. Pros: The "safety yellow" cover over the cable is easily seen by would-be thieves. The heavy wire rope (cable) would not be easy to cut with a bolt cutter because it has multiple strands. The lock and cable can be stored in my car's center console.
