🛡️ Will this void my factory warranty?

No. EirCore™ doesn’t reprogram anything. It doesn’t flash your ECU, it doesn’t write code, and it doesn’t leave a tune behind. It reads the data bus and sends a command — that’s it.

Unplug it before any dealer visit and your truck reads 100% stock in about three seconds. Nothing to reverse, nothing to explain.

Worth knowing: under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can’t void your warranty just because you installed an aftermarket part. They’d have to prove the part caused the failure. A device that leaves no trace makes that argument hard to make.

🔌 Will it throw a check engine light or store codes?

No check engine light. No stored codes. No readiness monitor issues.

EirCore™ doesn’t modify your ECU, so there’s nothing for it to flag. Your emissions monitors keep completing normally and your truck passes inspection the same way it did yesterday.

One thing worth doing right: leave it plugged in. Repeatedly yanking it out and pushing it back in mid-drive is the one thing that can confuse the module. Plug it in once and forget about it.

📟 How do I know it’s actually working?

Watch your DIC — the info display in your instrument cluster. Before EirCore™, you’ll see it flip to V4 (or “4 cylinder mode”) when you’re cruising steady or coasting downhill. After EirCore™, it stays on V8. All the time.

You’ll feel it too: no more soft shudder when the cylinders drop out, no more hesitation when you get back on the throttle. Most owners notice it in the first ten minutes.

If your DIC still shows V4 after installation, don’t guess — email us at support@eircore.com with your year, model, and a photo of the display. We’ll sort it out or send you a refund.

🔋 Will it drain my battery?

Not in normal use. EirCore™ drops into sleep mode a few minutes after you shut the truck off and draws under 2 mA — less than your key fob sitting in your pocket.

The honest caveat: if you park the truck for more than about three weeks without driving it — seasonal storage, a long trip, a work truck that sits — unplug it. That’s true of any OBD-II device, ours included. Takes three seconds.

⛽ Will I lose fuel economy?

Yes. AFM exists to save fuel, so switching it off costs you some. Expect around 1–2 MPG in city driving. On the highway most owners see little to no change, because the system barely engages at steady cruise anyway.

At 12,000 miles a year and $3.30 a gallon, 1 MPG works out to roughly $180 a year. A lifter and camshaft job runs $3,000 to $8,000, and it’s not covered once you’re out of warranty.

🔧 My lifter is already ticking. Will this fix it?

No. And we’d rather lose the sale than let you find that out after it ships.

If you’re already hearing a tick, a lifter has already collapsed or is on its way. Nothing you plug into the OBD-II port reverses metal damage. At that point you’re looking at a shop, not a module.

What EirCore™ does is stop the cycling that causes it in the first place. It’s prevention. If your truck is running clean right now and you want to keep it that way, this is exactly the right time to install one — and if you’re about to have the lifters replaced, install one right after, so the new ones don’t go the same way.

⚖️ Is it legal where I live?

Every Time AFM Kicks In, Your Lifters Pay the Price

Built for GM owners who won’t gamble with a $3,000–$8,000 repair bill — or a laggy, shuddering drive.

Install in 3 Easy Steps

No mechanic. No tools. No permanent changes.

EirCore AFM/DFM Disabler install in 3 steps: find the OBD-II port, plug in the device, wait for the blue light

EirCore™ vs. a Tune vs. a Delete Kit

Three ways to shut AFM off. Only one takes 30 seconds and undoes itself.

⚠️ Not every plug-in is built the same. Low-cost copies of this module are sold under many names. Every EirCore™ unit is tested before it ships and backed by a 12-month replacement warranty, a 90-day money-back guarantee, and a US support line — if a cheaper module can’t show you those three things, that’s the price you’re really paying.

One Module, Full Protection.

The switch that every GM truck driver needs.
