No — and that is deliberate. Magnets do not stick to aluminium bonnets, plastic trim or fibreglass, and in a working shop they collect every steel shaving they touch. FlexBeam wraps around whatever is there instead, so it holds on surfaces a magnetic light simply falls off.
Is it bright enough?
It is a close-work task light, built for one to three feet, with three brightness modes. Because the light is spread along 22 inches rather than fired out of one lens, it reads very differently from a torch of the same output — there is no bright circle and no dark ring around it.
It will not light a whole garage. If that is what you need, buy a floodlight.
How big is it, really?
28.7 inches (73 cm) end to end: a 22 inch (56 cm) lit section and a 6.7 inch (17 cm) grip. That is short enough to live in a toolbox drawer and long enough to lie across an engine bay — which a 44 inch light is not.
How does it charge?
