Yes. Use the Lightning adapter in the box for iPhone 14 and earlier, or plug the Type-C connector straight in on iPhone 15 and later. iOS 9 or newer.

Will it work with my Android?

Yes, as long as the phone supports USB OTG — nearly every Android built since about 2015 does. Both Type-C and Micro-USB adapters are included. If you are not sure, a free “OTG checker” app will tell you in a few seconds.

Which app do I need?

Is it wireless?

No, and that is deliberate. It plugs in: nothing to charge, nothing to pair, and no connection to drop halfway down a pipe. This model has no Wi-Fi and creates no network of its own.

How waterproof is it, really?

The probe head and the cable are IP67 — fine in oil, coolant, a sink trap or standing water.

The USB plug and the inline control box are not. Keep that end dry, and never take the phone near the water.

How small a gap will it fit through?

The head is 8 mm — about 5/16”. If a fat pencil goes through it, so does the probe: a spark-plug hole, an oil filler, a drain, a trim gap.

Can I take photos and video?

Yes. The app saves stills and video onto the phone, so you can send someone a picture of the actual problem instead of a description of it.

Does the cable really hold its shape?

Yes — it is semi-rigid, and bending it is how you steer it. It is not a rigid rod, so over a long unsupported run it will sag. For those, feed it in rather than aim it.
